Earthquake Japan Papercraft

Description

This papercraft is dedicated to all those who have been affected by the earthquake in Japan, who have died or lost someone they loved, and to those who gave and continue to give their support.

This is also dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombings in Japan at the end of the Second World War.

Please think of these people whenever you see Japan-san, and show your support however you can.

Notes:
The long blue strip is the bottom of his kimono. It should stick on right underneath the bottom of his kimono belt and continue down from there. If it needs adjusting, comment or note me. You should probably put the legs on before it, though.
Sleeve instructions are here: [link]
The bandages on his head shouldn't need to match up perfectly, since they should go underneath his hair.

I am so relieved that nobody I know seems to have been hurt, but it's terrible to see the destruction it caused, and just as bad to consider this is just the latest in a series of natural disasters around the world.

If there are any problems with this pattern (it was done mostly by eye and not tested), then please tell me so it can be as good a tribute as possible.

The original Japan papercraft pattern was made by にーび. Please give credit to me and にーび if you wish to alter this papercraft and post yours elsewhere.

Lastly, good luck to everyone in Japan and elsewhere who are doing their best to make it through these difficult times.
